LABEX OF MA is committed to achieve excellence and dedicated to promote quality management and care in the field of laboratory animal science. In that regard, we encourage professional development and we participate in numerous programs exchanging information, participating in trade shows, supporting public outreach and educational projects. One way that we support the science community is through our memberships to the organizations listed below.


Allied Trade Association (ATA)

The ATA is a member of the AALAS Site Selection Committee. The ATA is invited to all AALAS Board of Trustee meetings and sits on the fledgling AALAS Exhibitor Advisory Committee. The ATA is committed to working with the various AALAS branches with the same goal of having good facilities and exhibits at their annual meetings, at sites beneficial and convenient for all attendees.

Laboratory Animal Management Association (LAMA)

LAMA is dedicated to enhancing the quality of management and care of laboratory animals throughout the world. LAMA advances the laboratory animal management profession through education, knowledge exchange and professional development.

American Association for Laboratory Animal Science (AALAS)

AALAS is the premier forum for the exchange of information and expertise in the care and use of laboratory animals. Since 1950, they've been dedicated to the humane care and treatment of laboratory animals and the quality research that leads to scientific gains that benefit people and animals.

TEXAS BRANCH OF THE AMERICAN ASSOCIATION FOR LABORATORY ANIMAL SCIENCE

Texas Branch of AALAS is dedicated to the advancement of responsible care and use of laboratory animals through education, training and information exchange for the benefit of human and animal health.

NEW JERSEY BRANCH OF THE AMERICAN ASSOCIATION FOR LABORATORY ANIMAL SCIENCE

New Jersey AALAS is committed to excellence in quality care and innovation in the field of laboratory animal science by providing an open forum for communication, promoting education and training and disseminating information concerning the benefits of humane care and use of animals in biomedical research.

New England Branch of the American Association for Laboratory Animal Science (NEBAALAS)

The mission of NEBAALAS is to carry out the program of the American Association for Laboratory Animal Science at the local level. The organization is a sponsor and provider of educational and training programs for members and others that are professionally engaged in the production, care, use, and study of laboratory animals.

American Association for Laboratory Animal Science San Diego Branch (SDAALAS)

SDAALAS is a part of the largest AALAS District in the U.S. They share resources amongst other branches in order to provide an equal access to information and new techniques presented in papers, posters, workshops and tours.

Southern New England Branch of American Association for Laboratory Animal Science (SNEAALAS)

SNEAALAS is dedicated to all persons interested in the care, well-being, management, and use of laboratory animals as models for scientific investigation.

Delaware Valley Branch American Association for Laboratory Animal Science (DVBAALAS)

DVBAALAS is committed to achieving excellence and innovation in the field of laboratory animal science by providing an open forum for communication, promoting education and training and disseminating information concerning the benefits of humane care and use of animals in biomedical research. The Branch offers a variety of educational programs and seminars throughout the year and participates in the Tribranch Symposium held in June of each year.

NORTHERN MOUNTAIN BRANCH OF THE AMERICAN ASSOCIATION FOR LABORATORY ANIMAL SCIENCE

The Branch is a non-profit educational association dedicated to carrying-out the mission and philosophy of AALAS on a local level in New York, Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine.

CENTRAL OHIO BRANCH OF AMERICAN ASSOCIATION FOR LABORATORY ANIMAL SCIENCE

SCOBAALAS is dedicated to carrying-out the mission and philosophy of "Working through Education for the Betterment of Science”.

National Capital Area Branch American Association for Laboratory Animal Science (NCAB)

Organized in 1961, the National Capital Area Branch (NCAB) of the American Association for Laboratory Animal Science is the local affiliate of the AALAS. NCAB has grown into a major educational organization promoting improvements in the humane care and use of laboratory animals and the advancement of laboratory animal science. The NCAB serves the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia.

CANADIAN ASSOCIATION FOR LABORATORY ANIMAL SCIENCE

Since 1962, CALAS has been working to eliminate inhumane and unnecessary use of animals in research. Working with a membership comprised of veterinarians, physicians, researchers, administrators and technicians, CALAS has achieved many successes in improving the care of laboratory animals in research, teaching and testing.

Society of Toxicology (SOT)

The SOT is the leading organization dedicated to creating a safer and healthier world by advancing the science of toxicology. The SOT is committed to promote the acquisition and utilization of knowledge in toxicology and to facilitate the exchange of information among its members as well as among investigators of other scientific disciplines.
